About Us

ABOUT US

As a recently formed club Attleborough Athletics Academy is keen to welcome athletes of all abilities both experienced and new to sport.
Encouraging individuals to progress and learn in a safe and friendly environment sessions are designed to incorporate the elements involved in running, jumping and throwing, enabling athletes to compete in both track & field events and cross country.
Membership fees are due after the first session which is free of charge and all information regarding this can be found on the membership page.

Training

Our training sessions are suitable for individuals from school year 3 (Age 7 ) upwards, including adults, and usually take place at Gaymers Meadow on Saturdays from 9.00 - 10.30am .

During the Winter our Monday evening sessions  for our junior athletes normally take place at Gaymers Meadow providing weather conditions allow. However, occasionally we provide an indoor session at the Attleborough Academy Norfolk school therefore we strongly advise visiting  the homepage or one of our social media options for training session updates.
Juniors

A free introductory session is offered for all junior athletes. Academy training sessions are carefully structured by fully qualified UKA coaches therefore, in order to offer athletes the best introductory experience to the Academy we offer free taster sessions throughout the year. Notification of the next session will be sent on completion and submission of a contact us form on the relevant web page.

Seniors

The senior section welcomes athletes 16+ and runs alongside the juniors at Gaymers Meadow on Saturdays 9.00 - 10.30am and Mondays from 6.30 - 7.30pm. During Autumn and Winter the group runs around the town therefore Hi-viz vests/clothing must be worn.

Please ensure that you wear appropriate clothing and footwear.

Kit

Our athletes are proud to be members of  the Academy and to reflect this we request that basic kit is purchased and worn at training sessions.  When competing in events athletes will be representing the Academy and will be expected to compete in a club vest.

Our kit supplier is currently Birds of Dereham and items may be ordered directly through them. Alternatively, the Academy holds a small selection of stock and will also generate bulk orders throughout the year.

Our kit Manager is Senior athlete Peter Barrett who attends most training sessions . He will be happy to chat and address any queries you may have and advise you on the dates for forthcoming bulk orders. Alternatively you can contact him via email: aaa.clubkit@gmail.com
